Over the years Chris has expressed himself artistically in a variety of ways. As a juvenile Chris engaged primarily in impromptu guerilla performance art during primary and secondary school. His performances were routinely misunderstood leading school administrators to label him a kleptomaniac and charlatan. Chris’ unconventional style challenged preconceived notions of “art” leading to repeated suspensions and beatings.

During his college years at the University of Texas in Austin, Chris confined his creative spirit to pencil and ink on paper. Repeated overtures to the editor of the Daily Texan student newspaper landed him a brief six-year stint as the editorial cartoonist for the nation’s largest student publication.

In recent years Chris decided he would paint pictures. Oil paint seemed to have been popular choice of old guys in the past so that’s the medium he chose. Very quickly faces became the primary subject matter. Why’ How about some first-person for this part:

I believe the value of a moment of truth is one of the most real things we can experience. In a world that seems to be swirling with any combination of catastrophe, deception, politics, war and uncertainty, a moment of truth is a like a shelter you can always rely on. So I’m painting human faces caught in the moment because you can always find truth there.

Chris also paints heavy oil abstracts that are mind-blowingly awesome.

Chris also has a law degree that he can show to you.
